About the role
We are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for the role of Team Lead-Maintenance in our Queensland Metals Team.
Based in Mt. Isa, the TeamLead will be responsible for providing the leadership, maintenance and management for all of our mobile fleet ensuring the safe and efficient delivery and allocation of vehicles, equipment and plant to our portfolio of site operations teams within the region.
In addition, the Team Lead will be charged with leading, supervising and motivating a tight-knit and high performing team of talented maintenance professionals including Automotive Mechanical and Electrical Fitters and Technicians.
What you will be doing
- Every day, without exception, living, breathing and demonstrating our core charter value of 'Safety is our priority, Always';
- Provides ongoing leadership and management to a team of maintenance professionals including rostering, scheduling of duties, training, professional development;
- Prioritise tasks within region to provide best maintenance outcomes;
- Maintains and manages third party maintenance support networks and vendors;
- Ensures compliance to maintenance management plans for all mobile assets on sites within the region;
- Ensures all region repairs comply with purchasing requirements and budget and drives cost efficient maintenance outcomes
- Playing a key role in all new project mobilisations;
What you will bring
- Trades Certificate in either Automotive Technology or Plant Mechanical Technology or equivalent is advantageous, but not essential;
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar or equivalent asset maintenance leadership role;
- Strong mechanical aptitude is essential;
- Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with different internal and external stakeholder groups to achieve critical plant and asset related business outcomes;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Intermediate computing skills across the full Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
