About the role
We are delighted to announce an opportunity for a talented Analyst - Tax based in Tanzania, reporting to the Tax Lead.
This role plays a key part in managing regional tax affairs, ensuring full compliance with local tax laws and Orica standards, and supporting accurate tax reporting and accounting. You will also contribute to implementing tax strategy, managing audits and disputes, and providing practical tax advice to the business to minimize risk and ensure strong governance.
As a future shaper of Orica, you will help drive performance today while supporting compliant, efficient, and sustainable business operations across the region.
What you will be doing
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and Orica Tax Standards across the region;
- Prepare and lodge tax returns, statutory reports, and support tax effect accounting;
- Support implementation of regional tax strategy and identify tax planning opportunities;
- Assist in managing tax audits, disputes, and relationships with revenue authorities;
- Monitor legislative changes and proactively manage tax risks and compliance improvements.
What you will bring
- Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or financial management;
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance, reporting, and regional tax regulations;
- Experience working in multinational or Big 4 environments (preferred);
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
