About the role
As a Territory Manager at GroundProbe you will be instrumental in advancing our vision. You will be at the forefront of our operations, spearheading business growth, building strategic partnerships, and delivering innovative solutions that propel our industry into the future for the entire EMEA business operations. The role will focus and ensure contract delivery, deliver site organic growth and manage operations execution.
What you will be doing
This role is accountable for the safe and effective delivery of in-field operations; compliance; day to day contract execution and variation management; owns local and site customer interface and relationships and provides key demand and market feedback to the business.
Operations and People Management
- Manage operational activities in line with applicable SHES policies.
- Responsible for customer contract fulfillment.
- Oversight of logistics and fleet management.
- Conduct site operational reviews.
- Ensure that a motivated, skilled, competent and appropriately trained team is in place to deliver business needs now and into the future.
- Coach, facilitate and develop the team/s.
- Ensure that succession and development plans are in place for key roles and personnel, and that performance management process are in being utilised.
Sales, Marketing and Commercial Management
- Responsible for commercial contracts, top line sales and margin growth.
- Implement plans for business growth both in existing and new markets.
- Responsible for bid tender preparation & negotiation and contract finalisation for site.
- Actively identify & conversion of business development opportunities for differentiation.
- Attend face to face customer meetings.
- Ensure customer needs identification and execution of solution.
- Working with the credit and collection team to ensure customers debtor compliance is aligned to contracted terms.

- Tertiary qualification, Post graduate qualifications in mining/chemical engineering.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
- A deep understanding of business principles, market dynamics, and customer needs, with a proven track record in sales or business development.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Frontline management/ leadership development program (desirable).
- 5-10 years’ experience in operations management within a mining, manufacturing/technical environment in South Africa
- 5+ years Leading small to medium work groups and working in a role with commercial involvement.
