About the role
We’re pleased to invite applications for a Technician (Equipment Specialist) to join Axis Mining Technology (AMT), a global leader in advanced drilling and surveying solutions and proud member of the Orica family.
This is a hands‑on, technical role where you will become a key part of our quality assurance and operations capability. You will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, servicing and preparing high‑precision surveying equipment, ensuring all tools are safe, compliant, accurately tracked and always “Good to Go” for our customers.

What you will be doing
- Test, troubleshoot, service and operate AMT surveying equipment before and after rental to ensure it is always “Good to Go.”
- Process equipment to a high standard, including cleaning, calibration checks, fault reporting, tagging and preparation of complete rental kits.
- Maintain accurate asset tracking, inventory records, calibration certificates and equipment documentation.
- Prepare and manage freight activities, including safe packing, booking, documentation and handling of equipment.
- Support customers and internal teams by responding to equipment‑related queries and contributing to high‑quality survey outcomes.
What you will bring
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with hands‑on experience in troubleshooting and fault‑finding in a workshop environment.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, safety (OH&S) and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work independently with initiative, while also being a reliable and collaborative team player.
- Good computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivation to learn, grow and develop technical expertise while delivering excellent customer service.
