About the role
We are extremely excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a dedicated Team/Technical lead to be based at our
GroundProbe regional office in Botswana.
The Technical Team Lead will be part of an agile Field Services & Technical Support team, directly managing resources based in the
Northern Cape servicing the Kumba mines, Gamsberg mine and the Hotazel mines SLA and contracts.
Additionally, the successful candidate will provide administrative support including ERP Services like
Timesheets, expenses, Work Orders, Maintenance Requests approval, Red File/safety platforms like Passport360,
technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship to all inside NC region and will report to the Services and Operations Coordinator.

Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture;
- Setting clear team goals;
- Delegating tasks and setting deadlines and overseeing day-to-day operation;
- Monitoring team performance and report on metrics;
- Motivating team members, identifying training needs, and providing coaching;
- Addressing team members' feedback and resolving issues or conflicts;
- Recognising high performance and rewarding accomplishments;
Suggesting and organising team building activities
What you will bring
- Leadership, communication, negotiating and Organizational skills;
- In-depth knowledge of performance metrics;
- Good PC skills, especially MS Excel; ERP
- Organizational, time-management and Decision-making skills;
- Mechanical, Electrical or Auto-electrical Trade Test.
Your qualifications
- Minimum N3 in Engineering studies or Trade Test Diploma in Engineering
- Qualifications in People or Supervisory Management training in team leading is a plus;
- At least Five years of Technical Specialist field experience;
- Skills level progressed to L3 or higher;
