About the role
What you will be doing
- Setting the safety standard across operations and ensuring strict compliance with HSE and permit‑to‑work requirements.
- Leading and developing Production Team Leaders and day‑work coordinators to build strong shift capability.
- Delivering daily, weekly and monthly production plans while responding effectively to plant upsets and unplanned events.
- Coordinating cross‑functional resources to maintain stable, reliable plant operations.
- Supporting production and logistics planning, including ammonia ship export and East Coast supply requirements.
- Acting as a senior site escalation point through participation in the on‑call roster.
- Ensuring operational readiness for maintenance execution and major shutdowns.
- Driving continuous improvement through investigation of incidents, process deviations and reliability issues.
- Managing people performance, engagement, training, overtime, leave and operational timesheet approvals.
What you will bring
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science or a related discipline, or equivalent operational leadership experience;
- Experience leading teams in a manufacturing, processing or continuous production environment;
- A strong commitment to safety and care for people;
- An inclusive leadership style that builds trust and brings out the best in diverse teams;
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders;
- Sound judgement, resilience and confidence in decision-making;
