About the role

What you will be doing

• Support, optimisation and modernisation of control and shutdown systems (DCS/SIS) and plant instrumentation;
• Investigate and resolve complex reliability and system issues;
• Partner with maintenance and operations to improve plant performance;
• Drive alarm management, system improvements and reliability initiatives;
• Contribute to safety outcomes through investigations, hazard reviews, and management of the site’s Instrumented Functional Safety Management System;
• Support projects, system upgrades, contractor coordination, and develop toward becoming the site Responsible Engineer for Instrumented Functional Safety.

What you will bring

• Engineering background (e.g. instrumentation, electrical, mechatronics, chemical, process or similar).
  Candidates with Functional Safety Engineer certification are highly preferred;
• Experience with industrial control systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA) and/or safety systems;
• Strong Instrumented Functional Safety experience in continuous operations plants;
• Exposure to process or manufacturing environments, with a practical, hands-on problem-solving approach;
• Ability to work collaboratively across different teams on site.
