About the role

The Trades – Mechanic (Auto Mechanic) carries out hands-on mechanical work based on their trade skills and training. The role involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing vehicles and mobile equipment to keep them safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations. The mechanic supports site and fleet requirements, follows safety procedures, uses tools and equipment correctly, and carries out instructions from the supervisor within their level of competence.
 
 
This role will report to Aroroy, Masbate.

What you will be doing

  • Inspect, service, repair, and maintain vehicles, trucks, and mobile equipment to keep them safe and ready for daily operations.
  • Install, dismantle, and assemble mechanical equipment, machines, and site facilities as required.
  • Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on site equipment, buildings, and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform repairs to minimize downtime and keep operations running.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure everything is safe and fit for use before and after work.
  • Follow site safety procedures and work instructions while completing all mechanical tasks as directed by the supervisor.

What you will bring

  • Vocational course in Automotive Mechanics
  • With at least 2 years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining vehicles, trucks, or mobile equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Able to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
  • Physically fit, reliable, and willing to follow safety rules and work instructions.
