About the role

 


We are looking for a Trainee MMU Operator to join our Quarry Services team based in Marulan, NSW.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in the mining, quarrying, transport, manufacturing, construction, agriculture, mechanical, or heavy industry sectors. No blasting experience is required—we will provide the training, support, and development to help you succeed.

As a Trainee MMU Operator, you'll learn how to safely operate our Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMUs), which are advanced heavy vehicles used to deliver explosive products to customer sites. You'll work alongside experienced team members who will support your learning and career development every step of the way.

What you will be doing

 

  • Putting safety first in everything you do;
  • Learning to operate MMU trucks and associated equipment;
  • Assisting with the safe delivery of explosive products at customer sites;
  • Supporting preventative maintenance and basic equipment checks;
  • Working closely with teammates to deliver outstanding customer service;
  • Following operational procedures and contributing to a positive team culture.

What you will bring

  • A strong commitment to safety and following procedures;
  • Experience working in outdoor, hands-on, or physically active environments;
  • Reliability, accountability, and a positive work ethic;
  • Mechanical aptitude or an interest in learning how equipment operates;
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively;
  • Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn;
  • Experience operating machinery, vehicles, tools, or equipment (desirable);
  • Current driver's licence (mandatory);
  • HR licence or willingness to obtain one (advantageous).
