About the role
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our team at the Marulan Quarry Services site as an On-Bench Supervisor / Magazine Keeper.
In this role, you will lead and support a skilled team comprising Shotfirers, MMU Operators, and Blast Assistants. Your responsibilities will include mentoring team members, conducting incident investigations, and managing the explosives magazines at our depot.
What you will be doing
- Upholding and embodying Orica’s safety values at all times.
- Providing guidance and support to the blast crews on site.
- Overseeing the management of explosives magazines at the quarry depot.
- Coordinating the logistics of raw materials to the site.
- Ensuring operational processes align with Orica’s standards and meet customer expectations.
What you will bring
- Strong leadership and communication skills;
- In-depth knowledge of the Drill & Blast process;
- Proven experience working with or leading blast crews at mine or quarry sites;
- Current, valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s license (essential);
- Intermediate proficiency in computing;
- Familiarity with the Orica 4S system.
