About The Role – 38348 - Sales Director - Geosolutions (Canada)
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Sales Director – Geosolutions within our Digital Solutions team.
Orica Digital Solutions is seeking a senior commercial leader to own and scale the Geosolutions In Situ business. This role carries full national responsibility for strategy execution, portfolio integration, and commercial performance across mining and infrastructure markets. The Sales Director will lead a multi disciplinary sales organization, manage large scale commercial outcomes, and operate as a key member of the North American leadership team.

The vacancy is to fill an existing position.
This position will be home based; we are open to this person being located anywhere in Canada. You will be required to travel up to 50% throughout Canada.
What you will be doing
• Own national P&L responsibility, including forecasting, pricing strategy, and margin performance for a multi‑million‑dollar portfolio.
• Lead, develop, and performance‑manage a senior, multi‑disciplinary commercial organization, including business development, inside sales, and technical sales resources.
• Drive integration and commercialization of a multi‑stack geotechnical solutions portfolio, spanning hardware, software, services, and monitoring solutions.
• Set and execute go‑to‑market strategy, ensuring consistency across regions while adapting to market‑specific dynamics.
• Partner with Global and Regional leaders to align commercial strategy, investment priorities, and long‑term growth plans.

What you will bring - Experience & Skills
• Demonstrated commercial leadership experience within geotechnical monitoring, mining technology, or adjacent infrastructure solutions, with the ability to immediately operate at scale across the Canadian market.
• Proven experience operating across the Canadian market at a national or multi‑regional level, including engagement with Tier‑1 mining companies, engineering firms, and infrastructure owners.
• Proven success leading commercial teams and managing complex, solution based sales cycles.
• Experience with mining or infrastructure tendering and contracting (asset).
• Bilingual English/French (asset).
• Exceptional relationship building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self driven and organized, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
This role is best suited for a leader who has already operated at national scale, managed large commercial portfolios, and led senior sales teams. It is not intended as a step up role from individual contribution or first time sales management.
Role dimensions
• Location: Remote
• Schedule: Full time (Monday–Friday)
• Travel: Up to 50%
• Compensation: Base salary + Commercial Incentive Plan
• Team: Managing a team of at least 5 direct reports
Education & Qualifications
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mining, or Geotechnical Engineering; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years progressive commercial experience, with significant time in senior leadership roles.
• 5+ years proven success leading large, complex sales organizations and executing enterprise‑level commercial strategies.
• Track record of scaling revenue, managing large deal pipelines, and influencing long‑term customer investment decisions.
• Experience leading sales efforts involving complex solution portfolios, not single‑product or transactional offerings.
• Strong collaboration, influencing, and change management abilities.
• High integrity, strong communication skills, and a growth mindset approach to leadership.

Compensation
• Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000 CAD
• Eligible for Commercial Incentive Plan
Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
