About The Role – Production Planning Scheduler (Maple Ridge BC)

 

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Production Planning Scheduler within our Digital Solutions team focused on coordinating day-to-day production planning and control activities across multiple product lines and manufacturing work centres. 

 

Do you have experience planning and scheduling in the manufacturing of electronics and industrial assembly? Are you able to balance planning with problem solving to execute manufacturing and capacity constraints to meet production deadlines, ultimately achieving customer commitments? You will work to plan schedules and walk the production floor to oversee the fulfillment and to remove obstacles keeping production on time. This position acts as the primary planning interface between Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Inventory, Material Handling, Shipping/Logistics, Quality and Purchasing teams to support customer fulfillment and production execution. The role serves as a point of contact for production planning activities, schedule execution, lead times, and operational coordination.

 

 

Role Dimensions 
•    Work Schedule: 7am – 330pm Monday – Friday
•    Office Based role with production floor activity
•    Oversight of production work cells

 

What you will be doing

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate production schedules and workflows based on customer demand, capacity, materials, and resource availability.
  • Track production orders, lead times, and schedule performance to ensure on-time delivery and fulfillment commitments.
  • Assess and manage capacity, manpower, equipment, material, and production constraints to support demand and schedule execution.
  • Maintain ERP data accuracy and manage production planning, outsourced work, engineering, and rework-related transactions.

 

2. Coordination, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Inventory, and Engineering teams to align priorities, resolve constraints, and communicate risks.
  • Lead planning meetings and provide production status updates, planning metrics, and performance reports.
  • Escalate scheduling or resource risks and recommend recovery actions to maintain delivery commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and process enhancements that improve efficiency, service levels, and cost performance.

What you will bring

 

Essential Skills / Experience

•    4+ years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment. 
•    Experience in machining, mechanical assembly, electronic assembly are considered an asset. 
•    Strong experience in production planning and control, scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
•    Experience using MRP II / Manufacturing Resource Planning systems.

•    Strong attention to safety in a manufacturing environment

 

Additional Skills / Experience

•    Experience with project and team coordination. 
•    Lean Manufacturing experience highly valued. 

 

 

Role dimensions

 

 

Technical Skills
•    Proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor preferred). 
•    Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical capabilities.
•    Data analysis and reporting proficiency. 
•    Strong Microsoft Office skills.
•    Advanced Excel, Power BI, Microsoft AI Copilot skills would be an advantage

 

Your qualifications

 

•    High School Diploma required. 
•    Additional education or certification in Planning, Operations, Manufacturing, and/or Supply Chain.

Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

 

 

Compensation 

•    Salary Range: $70,000 - $79,000 CAD
•    Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
