About The Role – Payroll Officer (Maple Ridge, BC)
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to support our Digital Solutions team in Canada. Based in Maple Ridge, BC, this role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations. You will bring deep payroll expertise, strong attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex requirements while supporting employees and stakeholders with confidence.

What you will be doing
• Process and administer payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation and Orica policies
• Provide expert guidance on leave management and payroll-related inquiries
• Manage ServiceNow employee ticket requests related to payroll, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
• Complete payroll GL reconciliations and support invoice payments
• Execute payroll inputs and coordinate with external payroll service providers
• Administer region and country specific benefits programs
• Support end-of-year payroll activities, reporting, and audits
• Provide legislative advice related to payroll payments and compliance
• Prepare regular and ad hoc payroll reports
• Support ongoing compliance with statutory and reporting requirements
• Prepare and issue Records of Employment (ROEs) in accordance with legislative requirements
• Support Workers’ Compensation (WCB) reporting and payroll-related documentation, as required
What you will bring
• Payroll certification (e.g., PCP or equivalent) is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of payroll processing experience in a complex environment
• Hands-on experience with ADP and/or Dayforce payroll systems is preferred
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance, and statutory reporting
• Exposure to unionized / collective agreement environments preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Clear, professional communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, interruptions, and deadlines
Role Details
• Hybrid role with minimum 3 days per week onsite at the Maple Ridge office
• Monday to Friday, daytime business hours

Compensation Range
• $73,275 CAD - $85,000 CAD per year
• Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
