About The Role – Inventory Coordinator (Maple Ridge BC)

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Inventory Coordinator with the Orica Digital Solutions team in Maple Ridge BC.

What you will be doing

•    Coordinate inventory movements between production and storage to ensure appropriate finished goods inventory levels at each stage of the manufacturing process.
•    Conduct record keeping for all inventory transactions, including receipt, storage, and distribution, ensuring tight inventory control is maintained.
•    Complete inventory counts and cycle counting activities as necessary. Investigate discrepancies in inventory counts to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
•    Support material handling activities, including locating, pulling, and verifying materials and supplies listed on production work orders and internal stock requests.
•    Maintain and report on inventory record accuracy by auditing storage locations.
•    Ensure storage methods and product placement is coherent with expectations and regulations.
•    Resolving issues with lost or missing products, tracing them through the production process.
•    Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and providing updates.
•    Assist in special projects and assignments as needed and comply with all safety standards.
•    Active back up for inventory lead hand and cross functional roles as needed.
•    Adhere to quality standards and comply with internal QMS and safety. 

What you will bring

•    Previous experience in inventory management practices. Proficiency in analyzing and processing information, dealing with complexity, and maintaining attention to detail.
•    Excellent organization, scheduling, and time management skills.
•    Deadline-oriented with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
•    Technologically proficient, experience with RF scan guns and barcoding software.
•    Intermediate skill in data entry and computer software such as MS Word, Excel, etc.
•    Epicor is a plus (will train)
•    Strong mathematical skills and good English writing and oral communication abilities.
•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk continuously, and perform physical tasks.

Role dimensions

•    Location:  Maple Ridge BC
•    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am-330pm, with breaks and lunch
•    Interactions:  Materials, Shipping and Production teams
•    Language(s):  Conversational English

Compensation 
•    Full Time Hourly
•    $ 21-24/hour CAD
(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
