About The Role – 34999 - Hardware Engineer for Geotechnical Instruments (Maple Ridge, BC)
Our Hardware Engineers have the unique opportunity to contribute to the design and development of an entire product portfolio of world class geotechnical products. Reporting to Senior Hardware Product Development Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Engineering team that brings these products to market. You will have the opportunity to provide leadership and expertise in the design, development and support of our leading-edge geotechnical systems and instruments.

What you will be doing
• End-to-End involvement within the development project cycle of new products
• Schematic design, PCB layout and symbol/footprint library management activities
• Development of Custom Products using module-level design and software scripting
• Product validation regarding both functional and regulatory compliance
• Troubleshoot & debug product issues identified on-site and within manufacturing
• Help drive HW technology leadership and industry awareness within the Team
• HW maintenance of existing products in support of cost and manufacturing improvements
• Involvement in HW development process improvement initiatives
What you will bring
• Experience with Campbell Data Loggers, ST-32 microcontrollers & general driver SW is an asset
• Excellent ability and experience in hands-on testing, troubleshooting and problem solving
• Proficiency with common test equipment - multimeters, oscilloscopes, analyzers, etc.
• Industry knowledge & experience with micro-controllers, memories and interfaces
• Knowledge of wireless technologies and antenna operating principles
• Experience with electrical CAD Tools and PCB design techniques
• Good working knowledge of the principles of EMI/EMC
• Self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity team environment
• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
Role dimensions
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3 days in office
Your qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience in a related field
• Certification/Expertise: EIT completed or P.Eng in process

Compensation
• Salary Range - $85,000 to $95,000 CAD
• Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
