About the role
Exciting opportunity for a Magazine Keeper – Open Cut who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of explosive magazines at the customer site. The role
focuses on the receipt, storage, dispatch, and inventory control of explosives and related materials in line with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
What you will be doing
• Ensure distribution safety schedules are met and provide feedback to Distribution Operators.
• Liaise with the Distribution Officer to ensure timely documentation flow.
• Control explosive quantities within legal and regulatory limits.
• Maintain accurate magazine inventory records.
• Ensure cost-effective and timely product delivery.
• Establish effective working relationships with distribution contractors.
• Maintain compliance with explosives regulations and safety standards.

What you will bring
• Sound knowledge of distribution processes.
• Understanding of Quality and SHE management systems.
• Knowledge of national explosives transport regulations.
• Hazard and risk analysis capability.
• Basic ergonomics and manual handling knowledge.
Your qualifications
• 2–3 years’ experience in a distribution or explosives environment.
• Experience as a trainer is beneficial.
• Exposure to SAP is advantageous.
• Completion of or willingness to complete Magazine Keeper Training.
• Explosive Handling Certification / Blasting Competency.
