About the role

The Assistant - Laboratory assists with preparing samples, carrying out basic laboratory procedures and running simple tests

What you will be doing

Key Accountabilities Ensures safe laboratory operations Ensures all schedules are met in a timely manner and no justifiable complaints over performance Support laboratory safety initiatives Ensures safety of all personnel using the laboratory facilities by reviewing work practices, adherence to good laboratory practices, housekeeping and regulations Conducts routine analysis and testing to ensure compliance with production needs. Conducts calibration of online instrumentation for which the laboratory is responsible Ensures accuracy of analyses and timely reporting of results Provides rapid reporting of out of specification results to the appropriate management representative Adheres to analytical schedules, accurate analysis and timely reporting of results with the aid of Laboratory Information Management System Conducts Laboratory Safety Induction and chemical awareness training as required Provides after-hours response service for any emergencies, equipment failures, and lab problem

What you will bring

Generally up to 2 years experience.

Role dependent - technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)
