🌍 About the role


We are extremely excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a dedicated Coordinator – Maintenance Planning to be based at Glencore KCC site in Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of Congo.

In this pivotal role, you'll be the bridge between Orica and our site customers, ensuring maintenance activities are well-planned, efficiently executed, and continuously improved. Your goal? Maximize equipment availability, minimize downtime, and reduce costs.

The successful candidate must be bilingual in English and French. Please note that only CVs in English will be considered.

👷‍♀️What you will be doing

 

•    Collaborating across operations, supply chain, purchasing, and maintenance teams to ensure parts, tools, and materials are available for scheduled work. 
•    Identifying critical components and materials to establish safety stock and reduce delays. 
•    Keeping site supervisors informed about equipment status, planned and unplanned downtimes. 
•    Communicating with technicians, engineers, and managers to resolve maintenance issues and share solutions with internal and external stakeholders. 
•    Tracking and updating maintenance work orders and equipment data in SAP. 
•    Resolving scheduling conflicts and delays and continuously improving maintenance efficiency. 
•    Supporting both fixed plant and vehicle maintenance processes. 
•    Coaching mining services teams to enhance performance through better maintenance and operational practices.

💡 Qualifications

 

•    Diploma or certification in a technical field (engineering or construction)
•    Bilingual in English & French (only CVs in English will be considered)
•    Previous Maintenance Experience, preferably in heavy production/manufacturing environment
•    Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems and Reliability Centred Maintenance
•    Experience with critical machine maintenance is a plus
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work both independently and as part of a team
•    Willingness to travel as required
