About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available in the EMEA operations team as we are on the market seeking a Project Delivery Supervisor to join the team. In this role you will facilitate and execute projects with designers, contractors, site supervisors and senior stakeholders and sponsors like TM’s and ABM’s.
He/she will be responsible for coordinating various support and line functions within and outside of the company to achieve project outcomes within safety, quality, and cost aspects.
What you will be doing
Use the ORICA project execution manual and PMBOK best practice in implementing projects from producing designs to procuring equipment, facilitating installations and commissioning equipment.
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
Prepare Estimates based on vendor quotes, Specifications review and Capital Management.
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
Prepare and provide punch listing and make follow-up on projects close-out.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project team and other project stakeholders, to provide assistance and technical support where necessary.
Review engineering deliverables according to agreed SCOPE and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Stakeholder engagement and management- Communicate clearly and objectively.
What you will bring
Project management or Asset Care and operational experience in the mining drill and blast environment (5 yeas)
Knowledge & Experience in relevant engineering processes:
o Bulk Material Handling
o Hydraulics & Pneumatics
o Fluid Dynamics & Pumped systems management
o 3phs & 1phs Electrical reticulation
o Earthing systems
o Civil & Building construction
o Bulk Explosive delivery vehicles
o Bulk Explosive manufacturing plants
o Explosive Magazines
Applied attention to detail
Ability to communicate and influence effectively in making recommendations to management teams and others.
Identifying opportunities to apply innovative improvements to current environment
IT Software skills
Your qualifications
Engineering Technical qualification in relevant engineering discipline of Mechanical, Electrical, Mining or Chemical Engineering.
Qualification as registered PMP or CAPM with Project Management Institute would be an advantage.
