Join Our Team: Process Engineer – Asia Product Process Implementation and Support (Manila)
Are you ready to shape the future of process innovation in a dynamic, cross-regional environment? We're looking for a driven and technically skilled Process Engineer to join our Asia Product Process Implementation and Support team, based in Manila.
In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering technical expertise and engineering support across surface and underground operations throughout Asia. You'll collaborate closely with operations teams and the Asia Projects team to ensure that new technologies—products, systems, and equipment—are seamlessly designed, implemented, and continuously optimized to meet evolving business and customer needs.
Your contribution will help maintain and enhance existing processes and products to align with the region’s SHEC (Safety, Health, Environment, and Community) commitments, quality standards, and performance expectations.

What you will be doing
- Provide process engineering support for Bulk ANE Plant and Delivery Equipment, including design basis development, P&ID reviews, equipment specifications, operability assessments, and participation in HAZOP studies.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives by delivering technical solutions that support business growth, leveraging internal databases and collaboration with global experts.
- Play a lead role in the design, development, and commissioning of new bulk and PE plants, incorporating lessons learned through design reviews, hazard studies, and operability assessments.
- Support field implementation of new and transferred technologies through technical leadership, field trial planning, and preparation of work instructions.
- Troubleshoot product and process issues by applying Root Cause Analysis, and contribute to lab assessments of product or material issues when required.
- Conduct product safety and reliability assessments to ensure design integrity and operational performance.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, with a strong foundation in process design, safety, and industrial operations.
- Extensive experience delivering Process Engineering support for complex projects, including design development, hazard analysis, and commissioning activities.
- In-depth understanding of Orica’s explosives products, manufacturing technologies, and delivery systems is highly desirable.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience, with proven expertise in technical problem-solving, risk assessment, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and technical reporting skills, with the ability to convey complex engineering concepts clearly and confidently across diverse teams.
