The Senior Manager – Sourcing & Procurement develops a strategy that supports the category management strategy and manages the execution of end to end sourcing & procurement activities, ensuring that all processes follow Orica's policies and standards including proper use of supporting systems (SAP).
What you will be doing
Key Accountabilities:
• Generates and implements sourcing strategies aligned with the category strategy, and ensures negotiations provide a strong commercial and legal position.
• Ensures end-to-end sourcing process meet or exceed business requirements and are fully aligned with Policies and Group Standards. Ensures all purchases go through standard procurement process and comply with regulation and audit requirements.
• Drives improvements to close gaps in processes and performance metrics particularly for spend and contracts database (SAP).
• Actively assures compliance with all Supply Chain related Mandates, Operating Models, Standards, Policies and Procedures; ensuring overall regional alignment.
• Drives and promotes best practices, supported by industry benchmark , market intelligence and insights.
• Promotes continuous improvement initiatives that result in a positive impact for the supply chain metrics and supplier relationship.
• Provides strategic leadership across Surcing & Procurement teams ensuring coordination and cooperation, as well as meeting Senior Management expectations.
• Maintains close working relationships with suppliers, customers, and Supply Chain network.
What you will bring
* Minimum 10 years experience post professional qualification.
* Experience in global international purchasing.
* High level of English, Portuguese desirable.
* Advanced knowledge of internal processes and policies, or ability to rapidly acquire same.
* International experience preferred.
* Extensive line management in a variety of roles and environments.
* Well developed mentoring and coaching skills.
* Proven ability to lead a team, including building a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations of the workstream.
* Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups.
* Stakeholder management, including C-level: ability to operate effectively at both the strategic and operational level.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, including prioritization, planning, task delegation, and coordination across multiple teams.
* Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor &/or customer relationships.
* Financial accumen & budgeting experience.
* Able to build structure in ambiguous situations and establish best practices.
