About the graduate opportunity

 

As a Graduate – Global SHES Specialist, you'll embark on an exciting two-year rotational program. Immerse yourself in hands-on projects and gain diverse experience across Orica’s Global Safety, Health, Environment & Security (SHES) Team. 

 

This role is designed to give you both indepth understanding of the safety management systems and controls we use at Orica to keep our people safe while also providing hands on operational experience implementing these systems and controls on site. 

 

Your first 12-month rotation will commence at one of our key global office based sites in Australia before moving to one of Orica’s operational sites either in mining or manufacturing applications.

Key Responsibilities in This Role

 

  • Support SHES Risk Management: Help manage safety, health, and environmental risks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct Safety Audits: Assist in safety audits and inspections to uphold SHES protocols.
  • Develop SHES Systems: Aid in creating and maintaining SHES management systems to meet global standards.
  • Analyze SHES Data: Monitor and analyze data to spot trends and improve SHES systems.
  • Integrate New Technologies: Support the adoption of new tools and technologies to boost SHES efficiency and effectiveness.

What you will bring

 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical or Environmental) or a Bachelor in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field completed in 2024.
  • Eligibility: Full working rights in Australia and a valid Australian driving licence.
  • Passion for Learning: A strong desire to learn and make a meaningful impact.
  • Industrial Enthusiasm: Excitement about working in an industrial environment.
  • Curiosity and Innovation: Eagerness to explore various technical applications related to SHES and risk management.
