Orica is inviting applications for a Site Facilities Coordinator to support our Kurri Kurri Technical Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our site operations.
As the Site Facilities Coordinator, working Tuesdays to Saturdays, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of site services and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
What you will be doing
- Lead and supervise contractors to ensure full compliance with Orica’s SHES (Safety, Health, Environment & Security) standards and guidelines;
- Support regulatory excellence by assisting the Line Manager in maintaining compliance with all site licences and approvals;
- Deliver smart solutions across plant and equipment, facilities upgrades, engineering support, and office fit-outs;
- Own the maintenance schedule, completing preventative and reactive tasks not assigned to external contractors—keeping our operations efficient and reliable;
- Manage logistics with accountability for the delivery and dispatch of goods from the Haber Store;
- Act as a key warden during emergency system activations, playing a vital role in site safety;
- Drive project success by assisting in the rollout of maintenance and capital works;
- Champion safety and risk reduction, contributing to the implementation of SHES systems and initiatives;
- Ensure maintenance quality, supervising and verifying completion of all works, including Orica documentation;
- Monitor critical infrastructure, performing operational checks on the site’s Water & Sewerage Treatment Plant.
What you will bring
- 2–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance and vendor management;
- Trades background or similar would be desirable’in either mechanical fitting, electrical maintenance, or preventative maintenance;
- A commitment to safety and regulatory compliance;
- Experience in facilities or site services management;
- Good customer service and attention to detail with providing support to site personnel;
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with maintenance systems;
- Ability to obtain a Security Sensitive Ammonium Nitrate (SSAN) license;
- Ability to obtain a Forklift license.
