About the role
The Coordinator - SHES coordinates guidance and advice on key activities within the Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area.
What you will be doing
- Provides advice in response to SHES queries on policy and process relevant to the Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area within agreed timeframes
- Participates in continuous improvement processes and problem-solving activities within the Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area
- Ensures accuracy of information and delivery in agreed timeframes
- Participates in Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area and company projects as required
- Contributes to the development and implementation of SHES management systems
- articipates and supports SHES assurance activities
- Supports Orica leaders to execute their SHES responsibilities and accountabilities
- Assists in event investigations
- Supports the development of a SHES risk profile
- Implements initiatives to mitigate and prevent SHES risk
What you will bring
- Engineering or science degree in fields related to occupational health & safety.
- With tertiary or technical qualification - up to 2 years experience post qualification.
- Without formal qualifications - up to 10 years of administrative experience, or allocation of work to operators.
- Technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment roles.
- Good understanding of Mining Safety Management System Aspect by always prioritizing Safety Value.
