About the role
Safety, precision and teamwork sit at the heart of everything we do at Orica. We’re looking for a Warehouse Operator to join our team at the Kalgoorlie Explosives Reserve. You’ll work a Monday to Friday 5/2 roster, with 13 rostered Saturdays per year under the EBA.
In this hands‑on role, you’ll support the safe receipt, storage and dispatch of packaged Class 1 product and related materials within magazine areas, following established procedures and strong safety standards. You’ll be part of a supportive site team focused on safety, accuracy and teamwork.

To be considered you must reside in the Kalgoorlie Region (or be willing to relocate at your own cost) and be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
What you will be doing

Safely pick, pack, load and unload product, following approved plans and procedures;

You will receive, store and dispatch explosives and related materials in line with regulations;

Maintain a clean, organised and safe magazine environment with good housekeeping;
- To manage accurate inventory, including stock movements, returns, waste and quality issues;
- Use scanners and systems (including SAP) to track stock and monitor explosives limits;
- Work closely with the site team and freight providers, contributing to handovers, training and improvement activities.
What you will bring
- Previous warehousing experience, including handling stock, inventory or goods movements;
- An interest in learning magazine operations and inventory control;
- A valid Forklift Licence (LF);
- A current C Class driver’s licence (HR licence highly regarded);
- Willingness to obtain required licences (Security Clearance, SSAN / Dangerous Goods);
- Exposure to SAP or similar systems is helpful but not essential;
- Strong safety focus with good numeracy, literacy, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate and work effectively in a team.
