About the role
Safety, precision and teamwork sit at the heart of everything we do at Orica. We’re looking for a Trainee Warehouse Operator to join our team at the Kalgoorlie Explosives Reserve. You’ll work a Monday to Friday 5/2 roster, with 13 rostered Saturdays per year under the EBA.

To be considered you must reside in the Kalgoorlie Region (or be willing to relocate at your own cost) and be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Salary/Roster
The starting salary package for Trainee Warehouse Operators is $97,553.61 per annum, with level increases as you move through the training program and develop your skill and experience. You will work a Monday to Friday 5/2 roster, with 13 rostered Saturdays per year under the EBA.
What you will be doing

Safely pick, pack, load and unload product, following approved plans and procedures;
- You will receive, store and dispatch products and materials in line with site and safety requirements;

Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment;
- To manage inventory and stock movements, including returns and quality checks;

Use scanners and inventory systems to track stock and maintain accurate records;

Work closely with your team and transport providers while participating in training and continuous improvement activities.
What you will bring
-
Experience in warehousing, inventory management, stock handling or goods movements, or a strong willingness to learn and develop in these areas;

An interest in logistics, warehousing and inventory operations;

The ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a Forklift Licence (LF);

A current C Class driver's licence would be advantageous;
- Willingness to obtain required licences (Security Clearance, SSAN / Dangerous Goods);

Exposure to SAP or similar systems will be highly regarded but is not essential;

A strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
