About the role
We are seeking applications for the role of Hypercharge Trainer / Trainer Assessor to support the delivery of Orica’s Hypercharge Training Program. In this role, you will train, mentor, assess and verify the competence of customer Hypercharge Operators to ensure safe, compliant and effective operation and maintenance of Hypercharge Drive (HcD) MaxiLoader units.
This role is critical in maintaining Orica’s high standards in safety, technical capability and operational excellence across Hypercharge operations.
What you will be doing
- Deliver on the job training, coaching and mentoring to customer Hypercharge Operators in line with the Orica’s Hypercharge Training Program.
- Conduct competency verifications, check ins and Operational Competency Observations (OCOs).
- Assess operator capability across Hypercharge unit operation, maintenance and fault finding (electrical, hydraulic and process systems).
- Ensure all training and assessment activities align with Orica SHES standards, operating procedures and technical manuals.
- Complete and maintain accurate training records, logbooks and competency documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across Hypercharge operations.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated experience working with or supporting Hypercharge units, with 2+ years’ development and production operational experience.
- Holds the relevant Hypercharge unit qualification at the level being assessed (desirable).
- Formal Trainer/Assessor qualification or appointment as a Trainer Assessor by Orica management (desirable).
- Strong technical capability across Hypercharge equipment operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience coaching, mentoring and developing personnel in operational environments.
- Background as a Senior MCU Operator or Field Operations Support Technician (highly regarded).
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance, quality outcomes and effective communication.
