About the role


Join Our Dynamic Team as an MMU Operator at Fimiston Mine (Super Pit) in Kalgoorlie!

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are on the lookout for enthusiastic MMU Operators to become a part of our exceptional team at Fimiston Mine. This residential role offers a balanced 8/6 days roster, giving you ample time to enjoy life outside of work.

Our MMU Operators are integral to a cohesive, high-performing, and supportive team of Blasting Professionals. As a valued team member, you will receive specialized training and support to operate an MMU (Mobile Manufacturing Unit). This advanced Heavy Rigid vehicle, equipped with the latest technologies and onboard computer systems, is used to pump explosive products into pre-drilled blast holes on our customer mine sites.

What you will be doing

 

  • Operate MMU Vehicles: Skillfully manage our Mobile Manufacturing Units and other blasting machinery.
  • Hands-On Delivery: Assist in delivering explosive products into pre-drilled blast holes.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Help maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with your teammates to provide top-notch service to our customers.
  • Daily Administration: Handle administrative tasks and interact with customers.
  • Safety First: Embody our core value, 'Safety is our Priority, Always,' in all your actions.
  • Integrity and Respect: Uphold the highest standards of integrity and respect at all times.

What you will bring

 

  • HR Driver’s Licence: A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence or the ability to obtain one before starting.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass all required security checks to obtain a Dangerous Goods licence.
  • Positive Attitude: A team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and a commitment to looking out for your mates.
  • Mechanical Skills: Basic mechanical comprehension is a plus, but not essential.
