About the role


Are you enthusiastic about technology and mining operations? Axis Mining Technology is part of Orica Digital Services and are looking for a Field Support Technician to join our AusPac Regional Operations team based in Kalgoorlie, WA.

This hands-on, customer-facing role is well suited for individuals who enjoy working in the field, tackling technical challenges, and supporting innovative mining solutions. In this role, you will deliver both on-site and remote support for Axis Mining Technologies’ equipment and services, assist with user training, resolve technical issues, and help ensure the smooth integration of our technologies into customer operations. You will be involved with all aspects of the everyday operations of Axis Mining Technologies’ Kalgoorlie Service Centre.

 

What you will be doing


This role is responsible for managing Axis Mining Technologies’ fleet of driller operable equipment and cloud‑based data tools that support drilling and geological data workflows, ensuring data accuracy and reliability across operations. It involves analysing cleaning, testing and calibrating returned equipment and maintaining accurate records as well as checking drilling data for survey and core orientation validity, scheduling rig site travel, and implementing standard operating procedures to meet customer requirements. The role also contributes to continuous product improvement by providing user feedback to enhance system interfaces and functionality.

In addition, the role delivers hands‑on customer support through training, troubleshooting, and field assistance. This includes training customers on field software and system integrations, supporting and troubleshooting Axis products, calibrating downhole survey tools, and instructing operators on proper usage and maintenance. In this role you will also assist with rental kit setup and delivery as needed, ensuring smooth deployment and effective use of equipment in the field.
