About the role

 

At Orica, safety, precision and teamwork are at the core of how we operate every day. We are seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our team at the Kalgoorlie Explosives Reserve, working on a 5 days on / 2 days off (Monday to Friday) roster, offering stability and work‑life balance.

In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring products are delivered to customers on time and in a cost‑effective manner. You will coordinate inventory movements and work closely with freight partners and internal stakeholders including Customer Service, Planning, Production, and the Warehouse team, helping to keep stock levels accurate and operations running smoothly.

This is a hands‑on, collaborative role suited to someone who enjoys planning, coordination and problem‑solving in a structured operational environment. You’ll be supported by a knowledgeable team, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient supply across our operations.

What you will be doing

 

  • You will support weekly dispatch planning with Manufacturing, downstream teams, and third‑party partners to ensure timely deliveries;
  • Coordinate freight and transport activities, including domestic, import and export requirements, to meet business needs;
  • Optimise distribution plans to improve efficiency and reduce transportation costs;
  • To ensure on‑time product delivery while maintaining high levels of customer service and regulatory compliance;
  • Resolve inventory issues including stock reconciliations, delivery discrepancies and returns to maintain visibility and traceability;
  • Maintain accurate inventory movements and records through SAP, including material movements, receipts and write‑offs;
  • You will support site operations through purchase requisitions, invoice processing, and strict adherence to safety requirements.

What you will bring

 

  • A relevant degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related discipline, or equivalent hands‑on experience in logistics, inventory or operations;
  • Strong organisation skills, a proactive approach, and a genuine focus on supporting customers and internal teams;
  • Working knowledge of SAP (or similar systems) and Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn inventory, order and stock movement processes;
  • Forklift and HR licences are beneficial, but not required.
