About the role


This role is responsible for the Asia Digital Solutions team and proactively manage the P&L for the region. The Asia BD&E Manager is accountable for increasing Orica’s digital solutions market share and achieving financial growth targets including winning and maintaining existing digital sales for both Orica and competitor serviced customers which utilize our BD&E portfolio.

What you will be doing


(1) Safety Leadership - As a Manager you will be responsible for: 

  • Visibly demonstrating a commitment to Orica’s value of ‘Safety is our priority’. 
  • Embed Safety Share reviews amongst the Asia BD&E Digital Solutions team.
  • Adhering to Orica’s Safe Operating Procedures and demonstrating visible leadership by undertaking safety audits and other leadership interactions within the business.


(2) Digital Market Penetration

  • Embed the Orica Sales Process (SEAR) to secure new digital sales in the Asia region with support from the Digital Solutions Specialist Team who will manage the implementation and the BDM who will manage the opportunity pipeline.
  • Report wins/losses, key project focus, opportunity progress/status/next steps for Asia region.
  • Ensure maintenance of market trends in industry and communicate impacts of market to Global Commercial and Technology teams.


(3) Working together

  • Leverage Orica’s digital capabilities to support Business Development Managers, ABMs and Territory Managers in winning existing Orica customer sites, Greenfield projects, Competitor held accounts and new Performance contracts.
  • Report Business Development pipeline between regions to enable prioritisation of workload and ensure focus on key strategic target customers.
  • Collaborate with BDM to increase digital offerings as part of the differentiated Orica Services offerings including integrated workflows, Advanced Modelling and Data Science Applications.
