About the role

This role delivers the financial accounting function for the operating entities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and Orica’s financial controls and standards.  The role also ensures statutory compliance at a country and is required to work closely with Orica’s Corporate Offices.  Role will also require close contact with the business, Joint Venture Partner and Global Business Services.

What you will be doing

Financial Reporting and Financial Controlling

  • Prepare and consolidate business unit financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow.
  • Ensure allocated month end processes and procedures are performed in a timely and accurate manner for all Indonesian entities, in coordination with Orica Global Business Services Team (GBS) where needed
  • Ensure all transactions are appropriately recorded, the financial information reported has integrity and consistently complies with Orica’s accounting policies and Group Standards.
  • Manage the General Ledger, including Period End close, Account reviews and reconciliations.
  • Embed appropriate internal controls in all relevant any processes and systems.
  • Lead the bi-annual assurance process including Balance Sheet review and Letter of Assurance.
  • Maintain robust Intercompany Accounting processes include reconciliation and follow up (via GBS where applicable).
  • Support any finance projects, cost savings initiatives or benefits programs, or ad hoc tasks as directed.
  • Provide financial support to Group or non-Finance functions as required
  • Collaborate with regional and functional teams to maximize the value extracted from contracts.
  • Provide support in managing Trade and Non-Trade Working Capital.
  • Evaluate and manage the financial performance of the country.
  • Influence key stakeholders to ensure optimal financial outcomes.
  • Manage Treasury reporting requirements.
  • Manage Dividend Paper Preparation and Approvals.
  • Coordinate with Tax Manager in tax-related requirements.

 

Assets and Leases:

  • Lead Assets capitalisation process.
  • Drive regular physical asset verification and impairment reviews.
  • Collaborate with GBS Leases team to manage Right-of-Use (ROU) Leases in the system.

 

Group-Level Statutory Participation

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of region / group quarterly/annual filings and shareholder reports.
  • Preparation of legal entity statutory accounts, Joint Venture and Investor Relations reporting.
  • Coordinate with the Orica Tax Group to support tax compliance requirements.

 

Audit:

  • Lead completion of internal and external audit, both Group and Local.  Ensure Audit packs are complete and accurate.
  • Manage Auditors negotiation, including fees, timelines, resources planning, and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary contact for External audit requirements.

 

Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Orica standards, Policies, Procedures, Segregation of Duties and Orica’s financial delegated authority limits.
  • Maintain adherence to all relevant tax, treasury, statutory and financial policies.

What you will bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business discipline
  • Professional designation CA, CMA, or CPA
  • Experience in a large, global business in a similiar role
  • People leadership experience
  • 8+ years post graduate experience in accounting or finance (or related discipline)
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting standards
  • SAP and Excel knowledge essential
