About the role
The Territory Manager – Quarries & Construction (Q&C) is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of blasting solutions and services to customers across assigned territories in India. This role drives operational excellence, contract execution, and customer satisfaction while identifying growth opportunities within the Q&C segment. The Territory Manager will lead site teams, manage assets, and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders to support Orica’s strategic objectives in India.
What you will be doing
Operations & People Management
- Ensure compliance with SHES policies and statutory regulations.
- Monitor and report DIFOT and tonnage performance.
- Conduct monthly site operational reviews.
- Manage asset lifecycle, utilization, and security.
- Lead, coach, and develop site teams; implement succession plans.
Sales & Commercial Management
- Prepare and negotiate bids; finalize site contracts.
- Identify and convert business development opportunities.
- Deliver tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
- Manage invoicing, rise & fall adjustments, and contract compliance.
- Ensure financial governance (CFC, CAPEX) and debtor compliance.
Customer & Market Engagement
- Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Engage with industry bodies and regulatory authorities.
- Provide market insights to support strategy and pricing.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, or related discipline; post-graduate qualification in frontline management desirable.
- 7+ years of experience in customer and operations management within a technical, manufacturing, or mining environment.
- Proven experience in leading small to medium-sized teams in a dynamic operational setting.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and financial governance.
- High integrity, ethical standards, and strong personal values.
- Ability to build trust and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a focus on delivering results.
