About the role
At Orica, we drive innovation and sustainability across the global mining industry through strong financial governance and data‑driven decision‑making. Based in Hyderabad, this role reports to the Lead – Global Transfer Pricing and supports Orica’s global transfer pricing framework.
As a Specialist – Transfer Pricing, you’ll work closely with Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders, with a primary focus on SAP‑driven financial and cost accounting analysis that underpins global transfer pricing outcomes. The role requires strong hands‑on experience with SAP financial data, advanced spreadsheet analysis, and interpretation of P&L and balance sheet information, alongside exposure to transfer pricing compliance.

What you will be doing
• Lead hands on analysis of complex financial and cost accounting data using SAP, supporting transfer pricing documentation tables and analysis globally
• Analyze and interpret P&L statements, balance sheets, and cost structures, applying strong financial and accounting judgment to transfer pricing data and reporting.
• Act as a key finance partner to ensure accuracy and integrity of transfer pricing entries within financial reporting, rather than focusing solely on policy or documentation.
• Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation including Local Files, Master File, and Country by Country Reporting (CbCR), with a strong emphasis on financial data accuracy.
• Support intercompany pricing calculations and review of transfer pricing agreements from an accounting and financial reporting perspective.
• Use Orica’s global SAP platform as the primary system of record for managing and analyzing transfer pricing and intercompany financial data.
• Support audits, risk assessments, and remediation activities by providing clear financial data analysis and explanations, rather than narrative only TP support.
• Support benchmarking and economic analysis for intercompany transactions, supported by robust financial data.
• Monitor regulatory updates and assess impacts in collaboration with Finance and Tax stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal Finance, Tax, and business teams to align transfer pricing outcomes with underlying financial results.
• Provide analytical and financial support to the Lead and Manager – Global Transfer Pricing on strategic and compliance related matters.
What you will bring
- Strong, hands‑on experience with SAP and financial data analysis is essential, including cost accounting, P&L and balance sheet analysis, and financial reconciliations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet modeling, including complex formulas and financial analysis.
- A professional qualification in Tax, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CA/CPA strongly preferred).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a finance‑driven transfer pricing, tax, or commercial finance role within a multinational or Big 4 environment.
- Practical experience supporting transfer pricing from an accounting and financial systems perspective, rather than a purely policy or documentation‑focused role.
- Working knowledge of OECD guidelines and global tax regulations.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance, and advisory engagements through data‑driven financial analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to translate financial data into clear insights for stakeholders.
