About the role

A unique opportunity exists for an experienced applications Engineer (HR) to join our GBS team in India.  

This role will suit someone who has at least 5 years SuccessFactors experience with a focus on the SuccessFactors Platform and cross module functionality.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and maintain the artefacts that define the technology blueprints for associated applications.
  • Configure high-quality solutions that are secure, sustainable, cost efficient from an operational perspective and meet business needs.
  • Ensure compliance to blueprint by operations team for system configuration or code changes required to be implemented as part of break fix.
  • Accountable for ensuring all functional and technical production changes to systems and modules within area of responsibility adhere to quality requirements, processes and required standards.
  • Ensure Orica’s SuccessFactors system adopts technical functionality and manage the deprecation lifecycle within the Product.  
  • Provide SME advice and support to operational teams, assisting with escalations, root cause analysis, post incident reviews and business impact validation.
  • Ensure project teams and effectively transition support and maintenance of solutions post implementation to operational teams. 
  • Responsible for ensuring outsource, contract and software vendors deliver effective IT performance including review of SLA, performance, and reporting.
  • Engagement with key business stakeholders, GPDO’s and IT business engagement to design, deliver and support solutions.
  • Engagement with Application leads, Architects and operational staff to ensure alignment across functional areas

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualification in business, technology, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience working on SAP SuccessFactors HCM application suite.
  • Experience and knowledge in 2 or more SuccessFactors features:
  1. People Stories,
  2. Data Management,
  3. Integration Centre,
  4. Integration with IAS (Onboarding / LMS scenarios),
  5. SuccessFactors Integrations
  6. Intelligent services.
  7. Configuration management
  • Experience in a Support role is highly regarded.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex business requirements and effectively translate into solutions.
  • Eagerness to understand and pilot new SuccessFactors functionality and challenge yourself within other SuccessFactors modules.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and remediation skills.
  • Strong customer engagement and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate to technical and lay audiences.
  • Initiative to anticipate situations and problems and ability to advise on appropriate workarounds and solutions.
