About the role

Orica, the world's leading mining and civil blasting company, supporting customers in more than 100 countries world-wide, is looking for a Projects Engineer to support mechanical design, engineering governance, and asset improvement initiatives for the AusPac region, working with Orica’s global Assets & Engineering team.

This role provides engineering design services, mechanical governance, and technical support for mobile equipment, delivery systems, and fixed plant installations. The position works closely with Responsible Engineers to ensure compliance with Group Standards and statutory regulations.

What you will be doing

• Provide mechanical engineering support across capital projects and existing assets
• Ensure compliance with statutory and corporate standards
• Participate in design reviews and hazard studies
• Manage mechanical design documentation through SAP
• Support commissioning and handover of projects
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering governance

What you will bring

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering standards and regulations
• Experience with design reviews, project management, and engineering governance
• Ability to work with internal teams and external contractors
