About the role
We are seeking an IT Project Delivery Analyst to support the successful delivery of Orica's global IT project portfolio.
Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, this role plays a key part in portfolio governance, project coordination, resource management, contractor administration, and project delivery oversight. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed timelines, governance standards, and portfolio priorities.
Candidates should be comfortable working across both project delivery and PMO functions, helping project managers manage risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, resource coordination, delivery reporting, and governance processes across multiple concurrent IT initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines hands-on IT project delivery support experience with strong PMO and governance capabilities. The successful candidate will have experience supporting the execution and delivery of technology projects while also contributing to governance, reporting, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and portfolio oversight activities.
What you will be doing
- Support the successful delivery of multiple IT projects and programs across Orica's global project portfolio.
- Work closely with Project Managers to monitor project progress, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
- Coordinate with delivery teams, technical resources, vendors, contractors, and business stakeholders to help remove blockers and support project execution.
- Contribute to project governance activities including status reporting, RAID management, action tracking, resource coordination, and portfolio oversight.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, delivery reporting, and operational activities that enable successful project execution and on-time delivery.
- Support project and portfolio reviews by providing insights into project health, delivery status, resource capacity, and key risks.
- Maintain project documentation, governance artefacts, and delivery records while promoting consistency across project management practices.
- Support contractor onboarding, resource management, and project administration activities across the portfolio.
- Drive follow-up of actions, decisions, dependencies, and escalations to help ensure delivery commitments are achieved.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen project delivery and portfolio governance across IT
What you will bring
- 3+ years of experience in a PMO Analyst, Project Coordinator, Project Analyst, Delivery Analyst, or similar role supporting IT project delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in both Project Delivery and PMO/Governance environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting the delivery of IT or Technology projects (e.g., applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, SAP, data, or technology transformation initiatives).
- Experience supporting project managers through project execution activities including milestone tracking, risk and issue management, dependency management, action tracking, resource coordination, and delivery reporting.
- Strong exposure to PMO governance, project reporting, portfolio reporting, governance forums, dashboards, and stakeholder management.
- Experience coordinating across project managers, technical teams, vendors, contractors, and business stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
