About the role
Based at the Hyderabad Technology Centre in Hyderabad, India and reporting to the HTC Manager, this role will manage the delivery of Capital Projects across Orica.
This role provides critical business and technical support and is accountable for the implementation of Capital Projects across Orica. The Project Coordinator is supported by Responsible Engineers and design resources to provide a project management and implementation service for various capital projects ranging from fixed plan builds and turnarounds, to new equipment introduction and field equipment (including fleet) build and upgrade projects.
This role requires a sound understanding of Project and Construction Management principals in the execution of capital projects. Ability to communicate with key stakeholders is paramount as is the capability of organizing contractors to execute project plans on time and on budget. A key challenge of this role will be to apply adequate rigor to project construction to bring sufficient predictability to outcomes during the construction & handover stages.

• Cost center management support.
• Regulatory and statutory compliance of assets delivered by the project team.
• Compliance with Orica’s project process and SHEC (HS) requirements.
• Use knowledge, experience, and leadership to deliver projects, improve project benefits, and enhance stakeholder collaboration.
• Align and govern project teams to achieve business objectives.
• Lead planning and implementation of projects; monitor, document, and report progress and performance to key stakeholders.
• Strong execution focus; ability to work autonomously and direct external fabricators and contractors.
• Strong communication skills for customer-facing roles.
• Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, emphasizing teamwork and personnel development.
• Ensure compliance with Orica’s procurement processes.
• Ensure universal application of project governance processes and procedures across the program.
What you will bring
• Degree or certificate in Project Management.
• Certificate or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3 to 5 years in a Project Management role.
• 3 years in managerial roles, cost control, or capital management.
• Understanding of Project Management Processes.
• Familiarity with quality assurance principles.
