About the role

As an Account Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting customer outcomes through commercial coordination, business analysis, forecasting, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. Working alongside operational, technical, commercial, supply chain, and finance teams, you will help ensure the efficient delivery of products and services while contributing to customer satisfaction and business performance.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine engineering knowledge with commercial and business exposure. You will gain insight into how mining operations, customer relationships, forecasting, business planning, and commercial performance come together to support successful customer outcomes. In addition, you will provide technical and commercial support to the Account Business Manager (ABM), gaining valuable exposure to customer engagement, account management, business planning, and operational coordination. Working with experienced professionals and leading mining customers, you will develop a broad understanding of the mining value chain while building capabilities that can open future career pathways across commercial, operational, technical, and business leadership roles.
What you will be doing
- Coordinate customer-facing commercial and operational activities to support the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of products and services.
- Analyse customer consumption, operational, and commercial data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate forecasting and planning activities to support customer requirements and business objectives.
- Prepare and maintain KPI reports, commercial analysis, customer performance reporting, and business dashboards.
- Maintain customer, contract, pricing, and master data within business systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Monitor contract performance, customer commitments, and key commercial metrics.
- Provide technical and commercial coordination support to the Account Business Manager, including the preparation of reports, presentations, customer information, and business performance insights.
- Support customer onboarding activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate CSR activities and assist with stakeholder engagement initiatives within the region.
- Track customer feedback, service-related issues, and improvement opportunities to help drive positive customer outcomes.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Technical Services, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to support customer and business needs.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across the region.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Mining Engineering, Mineral Engineering, or other engineering qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Engineering graduates and early-career professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Experience in mining, mining services, technical services, commercial support, account management, planning, business analysis, or customer-facing roles is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational and commercial data.
- Understanding of mining operations, drill and blast activities, production environments, or resource industries will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence working with data, reporting, and performance metrics.
- Experience with SAP, ERP systems, Power BI, or similar business systems is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
