About the role
Orica is seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team. This role will work closely with sub-regional and functional leadership teams to provide financial guidance, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the delivery of business performance objectives.
The Finance Business Partner will serve as a key interface between finance and operations, offering insights into financial performance, supporting commercial initiatives, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and external requirements.
What you will be doing
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support contract reviews, bid proposals, and variation management processes.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting activities.
- Provide financial input into capital expenditure proposals and challenge underlying assumptions.
- Monitor fixed costs and working capital metrics, and support cash flow management.
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives and project evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with Orica’s financial policies, standards, and reporting timelines.
- Promote financial literacy and effective use of financial systems across the business.
- Participate in site safety meetings and support adherence to Orica’s SHE Charter.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Professional designation (CA, CMA, CPA)
- Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in finance or accounting
- Experience in a large, global organization
- Proficiency in SAP and SAP Hana
- Strong understanding of financial standards and business case development
