About the role

As a Sales Coordinator – Quarry & Construction at Orica India, you will support the Sales team in managing customer relationships, coordinating service delivery, and ensuring smooth execution of commercial activities across the Southern region of India.

This role plays an important part in enabling the Sales team to achieve growth targets by efficiently managing administrative tasks, preparing customer documentation, tracking service schedules, and supporting field activities.
You will work closely with customers, technical teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely communication, accurate reporting, and high-quality service delivery.

What you will be doing

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day sales activities, customer communication, and documentation for the Sales team.
  • Support follow‑ups with existing customers across quarry and construction accounts in South India.
  • Prepare and track quotations, proposals, purchase orders, and related commercial documents.
  • Coordinate deliveries and align with customers, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth service execution.
  • Maintain customer records, sales trackers, monthly consumption data, and reporting dashboards.
  • Assist with scheduling site visits, product trials, technical support requirements, and customer meetings.
  • Support contract renewals, pricing updates, invoicing checks, and internal compliance documentation.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales activity updates for the Sales Lead.
  • Act as a first point of contact for customer enquiries and escalate issues when needed.
  • Support new product introductions by coordinating demos, customer interactions, and marketing materials.

What you will bring

  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Good organisational ability, with attention to detail in documentation, follow‑ups, and handling multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting sales teams in activities such as quotation preparation, order processing, or customer service.
  • Familiarity with quarrying, mining, construction, or industrial products is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and maintaining reports or trackers.
  • Ability to support field teams when required and willingness to travel occasionally across South India.
  • Can speak a fluent South Indian language (Telugu) to support customer interactions.
  • 2–5 years of experience in sales coordination, customer support, commercial administration, or related roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Mining/Engineering/Science preferred, but other relevant degrees acceptable).
