About the role

We are looking for an Analyst - Finance Business Partner to support our Mining Services business in India. This role combines financial analysis, business partnering, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial insights to help business leaders make informed decisions that drive performance and profitability.

Working closely with Finance Business Partners, Area Business Managers, Commercial Teams, Operational Leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will provide meaningful financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.

What you will be doing

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly management reports and performance analysis.
  • Analyse revenue, costs, margins, and profitability trends.
  • Investigate variances against budget and forecast.
  • Develop dashboards and performance reporting tools.
  • Support month-end reporting activities.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Consolidate inputs from multiple stakeholders.
  • Monitor financial performance against plan.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and business trends.
  • Support forecast submissions and management presentations.

Business Partnering

  • Support Finance Business Partners and operational leaders with financial insights.
  • Help stakeholders understand key performance drivers.
  • Contribute to performance reviews and action planning discussions.
  • Build strong relationships across operations, commercial, and finance teams.

Commercial & Operational Support

  • Analyse customer, contract, product, and service profitability.
  • Support pricing and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor operational and financial KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business performance.

Business Case & Financial Modelling

  • Build financial models and scenario analyses.
  • Support evaluation of investments and business initiatives.
  • Assist in developing business cases and project assessments.

What you will bring

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, Finance Analysis, Commercial Finance, Business Analysis, or Management Reporting.
  • Experience supporting operational, industrial, engineering, mining, manufacturing, or field-based businesses.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis capabilities.
  • Experience in financial modelling and business case development.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Exposure to SAP and Power BI is advantageous.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, or MBA Finance are highly regarded.
