About The Role - Sales Representative (Georgia & North Florida)

As a Sales Representative for Orica, you’ll be the trusted commercial partner for mining, quarry, and construction customers across Georgia and North Florida. This role sits at the intersection of safety, technical expertise, and customer impact—helping operations run safer, smarter, and more efficiently. You’ll manage key accounts, develop new business, and collaborate closely with technical and operations teams to deliver solutions that truly make a difference at site level.

What you will be doing

  • Build and grow strong, long‑term relationships with mining, quarry, and construction customers across your territory
  • Identify new business opportunities while expanding value within existing accounts
  • Partner closely with Operations, Technical, and Regional leaders to ensure safe, effective, and well‑supported customer solutions
  • Develop and execute account plans that drive profitable growth, market share, and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare customer proposals, manage contracts, and support pricing adjustments in line with Orica governance and quality systems
  • Own territory sales performance, including revenue, margin, growth, and cash contribution
  • Promote and model Orica’s commitment to safety, health, environment, and community at every customer interaction
  • Travel regularly to customer sites, including remote locations, to provide hands‑on support and insight

What you will bring

  • Proven experience building customer relationships and driving sales in industrial, mining, quarry, or construction environments
  • Strong understanding of customer operations and the ability to translate needs into practical, value‑driven solutions
  • Confidence communicating with frontline operators through to senior decision‑makers
  • A safety‑first mindset and comfort working in active industrial environments
  • Solid business acumen, including budgeting, contract management, and profitability analysis
  • Ability to work independently across a large geographic territory with frequent travel

Nice to Have

 

  • Direct experience in the mining, quarry, or explosives industry
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting mining and construction operations
  • Experience working with technical or operational teams to deliver complex customer solutions
  • SAP or similar CRM/ERP system experience

Your qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a related commercial role
  • Experience in the mining industry is preferred

Compensation

 

  • Full Time Salary
  • Salary Rate $80,000 -$110,000 USD
  • Company provided vehicle
  • Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan

 

(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
