About the role
We’re excited to share an opportunity for a Specialist – Continuous Improvement to join our team at Orica Helidon. In this role, you’ll work closely with site and manufacturing teams to identify opportunities, lead practical improvement initiatives, and help shape safer, more efficient ways of working.
Based at our Helidon site, you’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative environment that values safety, learning, and diverse perspectives. Your ideas will be welcomed, your contribution will be visible, and you’ll be encouraged to continue developing your continuous improvement capability while making a real impact on site performance.
What you will be doing
- Work with manufacturing and supply chain teams to identify and deliver improvement opportunities;
- Use Lean, Six Sigma, and CI tools to improve safety, efficiency, productivity, and cost performance;
- Help shape site improvement plans and support longer‑term business goals;
- Coach and support team members to build confidence in continuous improvement ways of working;
- Improve daily management routines, visual controls, and problem‑solving practices;
- Ensure all improvements are implemented safely and in line with change management requirements.
What you will bring
- Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment, with involvement in improvement activities;
- Working knowledge of Lean or CI tools (formal qualifications are a plus, but not essential);
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders;
- A practical, improvement‑focused mindset with the confidence to lead and influence change;
- Ability to use data and digital tools to understand performance and share insights.
