About the role
We are delighted to announce that an opportunity exists for a Mechanical Technician at our Helidon Manufacturing Site.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Maintenance, the successful candidate will take charge of all aspects of plant maintenance within the operational area, supporting the processes and equipment used for manufacturing initiating systems at the plant.
Given that this is a 24/7 manufacturing plant, the role involves a rotating 12-hour shift roster.
What you will be doing
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for everyone;
- Meet ISO9001 standards using engineering quality systems;
- Collaborate with teams to improve plant production and support;
- Provide detailed reports on equipment and identify areas for improvement;
- Share information for smooth shift handovers and team coordination.
What you will bring
- Trade/Qualification in a Mechanical field is required
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or service industry
- Able to complete paperwork and communicate effectively with all team members in a manufacturing setting
- Computer literacy and a knowledge of maintenance systems
- Capability of attaining CPR and Low Voltage rescue certification, and Ammonium Nitrate National Police Certificate
