About the Graduate - Blasting Engineer

 

As a Graduate Blasting Engineer, you will have the opportunity to rotate through a variety of Technical Services teams to make a tangible impact on our day-to-day operations.  

Your graduate program will include:

  • A significant period on site as a part of a blast crew to learn the practical, hands-on aspects of blasting;
  • Experience providing customers with product stewardship of electronic blasting systems and bulk explosive delivery systems;
  • Formal in-class learning with from industry experts to develop deep understanding of blasting concepts, blast design skills, and explosive product knowledge;
  • Contribute to project teams delivering explosive product implementations, blast performance & design optimisation, and innovative technology trials;
  • Shadowing a senior Technical Service Engineer to gain invaluable exposure to project management, technical investigations and specialist blasting engineering skills.

What you will bring

 

You’re studying or have recently completed a degree in:  

  •  Mining, Civil Engineering;
  • Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or Earth Science related Disciplines.
  • Graduation year: 2024 or 2025
  • Degree level: Bachelor’s, Postgraduate, or Master’s

The role will be based at  Stockton Coal Mine, Westport.
