About the role - Team Lead (Gold Hill, NC)
Our two-year Supervisor Apprentice Program offers engaging and diverse rotations to give you the experience you need to set your career up for success.

It is a field-based leadership development role which will learn the business from the frontline position forward, to prepare for eventual role in key frontline position (Site Supervisor, Account Rep, SHES, Tech Service Engineer) emphasis on Supervisory. You must be open to living and working at any of our 50+ sites across the United States. Target start date is June 2025.
What you will be doing
• Work to understand our business, across all key positions at our field based customer serving sites. To include but not limited to:
o Safety, Health, Environment and Security requirements,
o MMU Operation,
o Blasting,
o Tech Services Engineering,
o Inventory/Magazine Keeping,
o Sales/commercial,
o Site Operations.
• Will be responsible for learning about the group function support organizations, and how those disciplines impact field operations.
• Participate in mentoring program.
• Provide a semi-annual update on key learning and deliverables.
• Engage in key company training programs (online and in person).
• Take part in key leadership engagement programs, meetings, and other development options.
• Support future recruitment and onboarding for frontline supervisor training candidates and graduate associate program participants.
What you will bring
• Be in your final year of your university undergraduate degree or have completed your degree within the last year
• Be eligible to work within the United States with no sponsorship
• Be eligible to drive a motor vehicle in the United States
• Graduation date of 2023 to 2025
• Ability to communicate in English at a professional level.

Your qualifications
Orica accepts graduates from a range of engineering disciplines including:
• Mining Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Geology or Geological Engineering
• Environmental Engineering
• Business degrees
• Others as appropriate
• Open to working outside in all weather conditions in a Field Based Environment
• Experience in internship or business environment
• Ability to start June 2025

Compensation Range
• $73,000 a year
• 5% Annual bonus potential
