🌍 About the role
We are now excited to invite a Technical Service Engineer to join our professional team at Kansanshi Field site in Zambia. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to deliver safe, reliable and high performing blasting solutions.
As a Future Shaper in the explosives industry, you will play a key role in supporting customer technical services requirements, with a strong focus on product stewardship, customer partnerships, and sustainable value creation for both our customers and Orica.

⛑️ What you will be doing
- Championing and proactively promoting site safety, ensuring full compliance with Orica and customer SHE standards
- Building and strengthening trusted technical relationships with customers
- Identifying customer needs and business development opportunities
- Analysing blast measurements and assessing performance against a baseline
- Developing and delivering differentiated products and service offerings
- Managing product and service implementation projects from concept through execution
- Developing case studies and supporting product application stewardship
- Training and accrediting customers in Orica courses, products and systems
- Ensuring optimal performance, reliability and continuous improvement of Orica products and technologies
- Training, mentoring and supporting Blast Technicians, Operations personnel and Graduates
✅ What you will bring
- Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- Blasting Certificate with strong practical blasting knowledge
- Experience in open pit mining or blasting operations (highly regarded)
- Well developed understanding of mining processes and key production drivers
- Experience in pre and post blast measurement and performance assessment techniques
- Proven experience in customer relationship management, project delivery, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
