About the role
We are thrilled to announce that Orica Kopako Site is expanding!
Our business is thriving, and we are looking to increase our workforce in our Ammonium Nitrate Emulsion Plant. We are seeking Trainee-Plant Operators and Experienced Plant Operators to join our friendly and supportive team.
As a Plant Operator, you will operate both fixed and mobile plant machinery to produce chemicals and packages used in the blasting process for mining, quarrying, and infrastructure projects.
It is important to note that we do not necessarily require candidates to have experience in manufacturing plant environments. We are open to fresh graduates and those new to the field, as we will provide extensive training for successful candidates. You'll have all the tools needed to spark a brand-new career with a truly global, market-leading company.
What you will be doing
- Operate with Confidence: Safely and efficiently handle state-of-the-art equipment, plant, and machinery in our cutting-edge manufacturing plant (full training provided);
- Be a Key Player: Assist with essential plant maintenance tasks, ensuring smooth operations;
- Get Hands-On: Engage in dynamic, labor-intensive duties that keep our production running;
- Join a Winning Team: Work closely with a supportive and inclusive team that values your contributions.
What you will bring
- A positive friendly attitude and a willingness to learn;
- Some manual handling working experience;
- Current C Class driving license;
- Ability to pass all relevant security & police checks;
- Commitment to working with safety as a priority;
- Forklift license would be an advantage;
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (desirable);
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: Preferably in Chemical/Process or a related field.
