🌍 About the role
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a SHES Coordinator to join our team at Kibali Site in DRC. In this hands-on, site-based role, you will help strengthen the systems, processes and assurance activities that support safe, compliant and reliable operations. Working closely with employees and leaders across the site, you will contribute to the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Environment and Security practices within a dynamic Major Hazard Facility environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and adaptable professional who enjoys working with people, improving systems and turning information into practical safety outcomes. You will gain broad exposure across assurance, critical controls, investigations, reporting and operational risk while contributing to Orica’s strong commitment to safe and responsible operations.
✅ What you'll be doing
- Provide SHES advice and support to site teams.
- Support SHES risk management, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Contribute to SHES audits, assurance activities, and management systems.
- Partner with site leaders to promote safe and sustainable work practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and site projects.
- Provide cover for the SHES Specialist when required.
👩🎓Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
- Relevant experience in a SHES, HSE, or safety-focused role
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others
- Excellent communication skills in English and French
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent safety qualification is meritorious
- Experience working in mining or other operational, manufacturing, or industrial environments is beneficial
